Welcome to CollectGive. By accessing or using collectgive.com (the "Site") and our related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. What CollectGive Is

CollectGive is a home service pricing platform that provides verified pricing data for home services in the Denver Metro area and connects homeowners with vetted local contractors. When a homeowner verifies their completed service, $5 is donated to a verified nonprofit partner.

CollectGive is not a contractor, general contractor, or home services provider. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work. We are an information and matching platform.

2. Homeowner Terms

2.1 Service Requests

When you submit a service request through our form, you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• The information you provide (name, phone number, ZIP code) is accurate and belongs to you
• You are genuinely seeking a home service contractor for work at a property in the Denver Metro area
• You are not submitting the request on behalf of a competing business, lead generation service, or for any purpose other than obtaining home services

2.2 SMS Consent

By submitting the "Find My Contractor" form, you expressly consent to receive text messages from CollectGive at the phone number you provided. You agree to receive:

• A contractor match notification with your matched contractor's information
• A follow-up satisfaction check approximately 48 hours after your request
• A one-time verification code if phone verification is enabled

Maximum 3 messages per service request. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for support. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase — our service is free for homeowners.

2.2.1 SMS Messaging Program

Program Name: CollectGive Service Notifications

Description: Transactional SMS messages related to home service requests submitted through collectgive.com, including request confirmations, contractor notifications, verification codes, service follow-ups, and optional monthly home maintenance briefs.

Message Frequency: Varies based on service activity. Typically 1-3 messages per service request. Monthly briefs are one message per month if opted in.

Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details.

Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any CollectGive message to unsubscribe from all SMS communications.

Help: Reply HELP to any CollectGive message for support, or email support@collectgive.com.

Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

2.3 Data Sharing

Your name, phone number, ZIP code, and service description will be shared with exactly one matched contractor. By submitting a request, you authorize this sharing. Your data will not be shared with any other contractors, businesses, advertisers, or data brokers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

2.4 Follow-Up and Pricing Data

If you respond to our follow-up SMS with a satisfaction rating (GOOD/BAD) and/or a quoted price, you consent to us using that information to improve our pricing database. Quoted prices are incorporated into our aggregated, anonymized Cost Index and are not publicly associated with your identity.

3. Contractor Terms

3.1 Eligibility

Contractors using CollectGive must:

• Hold a valid contractor's license for their trade in the State of Colorado (where applicable)
• Maintain general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000
• Provide accurate business information including business name, contact name, phone number, and service area
• Respond to matched homeowner requests in a timely and professional manner

3.2 Contractor Conduct

Contractors agree to:

• Contact matched homeowners promptly and professionally
• Provide fair, accurate quotes for the requested services
• Not share homeowner information with any third party
• Not use CollectGive data to solicit homeowners outside of the matched request
• Maintain the insurance and licensing requirements for the duration of their participation

3.3 Reputation System

Contractors are subject to an automated reputation system based on homeowner feedback. Consistently poor ratings may result in reduced matching frequency or removal from the platform. CollectGive reserves the right to suspend or remove any contractor at its sole discretion.

3.4 Credits and Payments

During the beta period, service requests are provided to contractors at no cost. Post-beta, contractors will purchase credit packs to receive service requests. Credit pack pricing will be communicated before the transition from beta. A portion of each credit ($5) is donated to a verified nonprofit on behalf of the homeowner. Credits are non-refundable once a service request has been delivered.

4. Charitable Donations

CollectGive donates $5 to a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner when a homeowner verifies their completed service request. Nonprofit partners are selected and vetted by CollectGive. Current partners are listed on our Proof page.

Donations are made by CollectGive, not by the homeowner or contractor. Homeowners and contractors do not receive tax deductions for these donations. CollectGive maintains a charity ledger as an auditable record of all donations. Nonprofit partners may be added or rotated at CollectGive's discretion.

5. Pricing Data Disclaimer

The pricing information on CollectGive is for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, home service costs vary significantly based on factors including but not limited to:

• Equipment brand, model, and efficiency rating
• Home size, layout, and existing infrastructure
• Installation complexity and access difficulty
• Permit requirements and code compliance work
• Warranty terms and service agreements
• Time of year and contractor availability

The prices displayed on CollectGive represent aggregated averages from verified completed jobs in the Denver Metro area. They are not quotes, estimates, or guarantees of what you will pay. Actual costs for your specific project may be higher or lower than the averages shown. Always obtain detailed, written quotes from contractors for your specific situation.

5.1 Quote Checker

The Quote Checker tool at collectgive.com/check compares a user-entered price to our verified averages. The comparison result is informational only and does not constitute a judgment that any contractor's pricing is fair, unfair, or fraudulent. Price differences may be fully explained by the factors listed above. We strongly recommend obtaining multiple quotes and comparing the scope of work, not just the price.

5.2 Community-Submitted Data

Prices submitted through the Quote Checker are stored as unverified community data. This data is not incorporated into our verified Cost Index and is clearly marked as unverified in any internal use. CollectGive does not guarantee the accuracy of community-submitted data.

6. No Contractor Guarantee

CollectGive is a matching and information platform. We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, safety, legality, or completion of any work performed by contractors matched through our service.

• We vet contractors for licensing and insurance, but we do not supervise their work
• We do not guarantee that a contractor will respond to your request
• We do not guarantee any specific price or outcome
• All service agreements are between you and the contractor directly
• Any disputes regarding work quality, pricing, or contractor conduct should be resolved directly between you and the contractor

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use CollectGive to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent service requests
• Harvest, scrape, or collect data from our platform for commercial purposes without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our services
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to submit requests or extract data (our API and MCP server are available for legitimate programmatic access)
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use our platform for any illegal purpose
• Circumvent our anti-spam or fraud prevention measures

8. Intellectual Property

The CollectGive name, logo, Cost Index methodology, and website design are the property of CollectGive. Our aggregated pricing data is made available through our public API and MCP server for legitimate use by AI models, researchers, and media with attribution to "CollectGive Cost Index" and a link to collectgive.com.

The embeddable widget (embed.js) is provided free of charge for use on third-party websites, provided the "Powered by CollectGive" attribution remains visible and the widget is not modified to remove attribution or misrepresent the data source.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollectGive and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to damages arising from contractor performance, pricing inaccuracies, SMS messages, or charitable donation allocations.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of CollectGive shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Since our service is free for homeowners, this effectively limits liability to $0 for homeowner claims.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CollectGive from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CollectGive shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.

12. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time by updating this page. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of CollectGive after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CollectGive at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Contractors may be removed from the platform for failure to maintain licensing or insurance, consistently poor homeowner ratings, or violation of the Contractor Conduct standards above.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
