Data Methodology

The CollectGive Cost Index uses a tiered data system. Every price has a data authority label that tells you exactly how it was sourced. Stronger tiers carry more weight in the average calculation.

Dual-Confirmed
Both homeowner and contractor reported the price on the ServiceThread. Highest confidence.
0
Homeowner-Reported
Homeowner verified the price on their ServiceThread after service was completed.
0
Web-Researched
Aggregated from public cost guides (Forbes, HomeGuide, Fixr, Angi, Bob Vila). Median of multiple sources.
0
Community-Recalled
Homeowners reported past service prices from memory via the Denver Price Vault.
0
CPI-Adjusted Estimate
10-year price history trend adjusted for inflation. Lowest confidence. Will be replaced as real data accumulates.
0

The Cost Index always displays the data authority tier for every service. As verified ServiceThread data accumulates, it automatically replaces weaker tiers. The goal is 100% dual-confirmed data for every service in every market.

Donation Ledger

$5 is donated to Tree Of Life Juarez, Giving Life Outreach, and other verified nonprofit partners with every verified request. Donations fire when the homeowner completes verification on their ServiceThread — not on form submission. This ensures every donation corresponds to a real completed interaction.

No donations recorded yet. The first donation will fire when a homeowner verifies their ServiceThread.
